Connect Search Console and SE Ranking.
Bring search performance and rankings into each client portal. Brava walks you through the setup, then you match every client to the right site.
- A Google account with access to your clients’ Search Console properties
- An SE Ranking plan with API access, and its API key
- The clients already added in BravaSpace
Sidebar, Account group, Apps
Open Apps
Apps opens on a directory of every tool you can connect. Search by name, or filter by All, Connected and Available. Each card opens that app’s own page.
- One Google sign-in covers Search Console, Google Analytics, Business Profile and Google Ads. Each has its own page.
- A connected app shows Connected on its card, and Manage instead of View.
Apps, Google Search Console
Connect from the app’s page
Before you connect, the page says what the app brings into BravaSpace and where it shows, what you need, and how your data is handled. Press Connect Google Search Console. Ask Brava opens and walks you through the setup, step by step.
- Set it up manually, under the button, opens the same setup as a form if you would rather not use the chat.
Ask Brava, Sign in with Google
Sign in with Google
When it is time to sign in, Brava shows a card under its answer. Choose Continue to Google and use the account that has access to your clients’ properties.
- Tick every permission when Google asks. Without them, some data will not sync.
- You sign in once for all clients. Brava then tests the connection and tells you what it found.
Apps, SE Ranking, Connect
Add your SE Ranking key
SE Ranking has no sign-in. In SE Ranking, open API in the left menu, then Dashboard, and copy your API key. When Brava asks for it, paste it into the secure form under its answer and press Save and test. One key covers every project in the account.
- The key goes straight to BravaSpace’s server. It is not added to the chat, and only its last four characters are shown afterwards.
Good to knowIf the key stops working later, choose Replace key on the SE Ranking page. The matches stay as they are.
Ask Brava, or the app’s page, Connection
Match each client to their site
Tell Brava which client gets which property or project, for example “Orchard and Co gets orchard.example”. It asks you to confirm, makes the match and runs the first sync. This is how the right data lands in the right portal.
- On a Google app’s page, Suggested matches pairs clients with properties by name and website. Accept one at a time, or Accept all.
- Match a client, on the same page, lets you choose the client and the project, site or property yourself.
- What syncs lists every matched client with when it last synced and its status. Press Sync now on a row at any time.
Good to knowA client’s own Apps page, in the side bar of their portal, shows everything connected for that client and lets you match them from there.
Client record, View portal, Visibility
Check the Visibility tab
Open the client and choose View portal, then look at the Visibility tab. You should see rankings and search performance for the client. Preview as Client, in the side bar, shows it exactly as they will.
Good to knowVisibility shows once a client has synced data from a connected tool. Until then the tab has nothing to show, and you can switch it off for a client under Portal tabs.
If something looks different
Common snags.
Open the app’s page, such as Google Search Console, and choose Reconnect. Tick every permission when Google asks. An unticked box means that app cannot sync, and it is the most common cause.
Copy it again from API, then Dashboard, in SE Ranking, and check that your plan includes API access. On the SE Ranking page in Apps, choose Replace key and paste it, then Test connection.
Point at the Error label to see why. Fix the cause (usually a missing permission or the wrong match), then press Sync now on that row.
Yes. Every app page has Set it up manually under the Connect button, which opens the same setup as a form.
They use the same Google sign-in. Open each app’s page and match your clients. Google Calendar and Meet, for Meetings, asks for its own calendar permission.
Visibility needs data from at least one connected tool for that client. Check the client is matched and has synced at least once.
