BravaSpacevsNotion
BravaSpace or Notion: what fits your agency?
Notion can become almost anything. BravaSpace is already one thing: a branded place for your clients. Here is when each is the better choice.
Free for 14 days. No credit card needed.
You want clients to sign in to a space with your name on it, approve work, pay invoices and read updates, without building any of that first.
You want one flexible workspace for notes, wikis, databases and docs, mostly for your own team, and you enjoy building the system yourself.
What you get with BravaSpace
Nothing to build. Each client gets a finished portal.
Instead of a page in your wider workspace, every client signs in to their own space under your brand, with these in place from the first day.
At a glance
Where each one is strong.
Our own score, out of 5, for how well each tool fits client work. It is our opinion, not a test. We built one of these two, so keep that in mind.
- Clients sign in to a space under your brand
- Approvals and sign-off in one click
- Invoices and getting paid
- Ready on day one for client work
- Flexibility to build anything
- Notes, docs and a team wiki

Where BravaSpace is better
- Nothing to build. Add a client, pick a preset, and the portal is ready to preview.
- Clients get their own login, not a link to a page that is part of your wider workspace.
- Approvals, invoices with Pay now, contracts and messages are built in and work together.
- Internal and client-visible are separate by design, which cuts the risk of sharing the wrong page.
- Search visibility from SE Ranking and Google sits in each client’s space.
- Calls are booked from the same place, with a Google Meet or Zoom link and a Next meeting tile on the client’s Overview.
Where Notion is better
- It is genuinely flexible. Databases, docs, wikis, boards and calendars all live in one tool and fit together.
- It is excellent for your own team’s knowledge: processes, meeting notes, handbooks.
- A very large library of templates and a big community to learn from.
- You can shape it to a workflow that is not typical client work at all.
You do not have to pick one
Using them together.
Plenty of agencies keep Notion as the internal handbook, with processes, retros and meeting notes, and use BravaSpace for the part clients see. They do different jobs. If you already have client pages in Notion, you can keep them while you try a portal with one client. Our first portal guide takes about half an hour.
Switching from Notion
Bring your clients across from Notion.
It is one chat with Brava: say where you’re coming from, drop in the export, check, import. You see everything before it is added.
- 1
Tell Brava where you’re coming from.
Choose Add a client, then Switch from another tool. Pick your tool, or Something else, and Brava gives you its export steps.
- 2
Drop in your export.
Your clients and contacts from Notion, and projects or tasks if you want them: CSV, Excel or a ZIP. Brava reads only the column names and the first 20 rows to map the columns. Change any it got wrong.
- 3
Check, then import.
A short summary, like “9 clients and 11 contacts; 1 row needs a look.” Fix that row or leave it out, then press Import once. You can still undo the import afterwards.
Read the full switching guide, or talk to us if your export looks unusual.
Questions
Fair questions.
Yes, many people do, and it can work well for a few clients. The cost is the building and the upkeep: permissions per client, a way to approve work, somewhere to put invoices. If you enjoy that and the volume is small, Notion is a fine choice. If it is eating your time, a ready-made portal is quicker.
In BravaSpace they sign in to a space with your name on it and see a few tabs you chose. There is no workspace to understand, only their own work.
Partly. Export a Notion database of clients or tasks as CSV and import it: the columns are matched for you, by Brava where it is switched on, and you check it all in a preview before anything is added. Page text you copy across by hand, and files you upload to a client’s Reports tab. There is no direct connection to Notion.
