BravaSpacevsAssembly (formerly Copilot)
BravaSpace or Assembly: what fits your agency?
The client portal called Copilot changed its name to Assembly in September 2025. It is now a CRM, client portal and AI app builder for service firms. BravaSpace is a branded space per client, built for agencies and studios.
Free for 14 days. No credit card needed.
You run an agency or studio and want each client’s space built around approvals, proposals and contracts signed online, invoices and search reporting from SE Ranking and Google, with a few team members included on every plan.
You want a portal you can extend with ready-made and AI-built apps, with a help desk and recurring subscriptions, and a free plan to start on.
What you get with BravaSpace
Set up for agency work from the first day.
No apps to assemble: each client’s space comes with these, and presets decide which tabs they see.

Where each one is strong.
Our own score, out of 5, for how well each tool fits client work. It is our opinion, not a test. We built one of these two, so keep that in mind.
- Extending the portal with your own apps

Where BravaSpace is better
- It is built for agencies and studios, with presets such as Marketing and SEO, Photography and video, and Web design deciding which tabs each client sees.
- Clients approve, request changes or comment on work you put up for review, and the answer is recorded on the task.
- Rankings and search performance from SE Ranking and Google appear in each client’s space, with connectors for analytics, ads and email tools.
- Every plan includes at least 3 team members, where Assembly’s Free and Starter plans include one internal user.
- AI drafts replies, summaries and reports from each client’s data for you to review, and Studio tools write first drafts.
- Galleries let photographers and video teams share work for clients to comment on photo by photo, approve and download.
Where Assembly is better
- There is a free plan for your first few clients, and Starter is $29 a month when billed annually.
- Contracts with built-in e-signatures, intake forms, a help desk and recurring subscriptions sit inside the portal.
- You can extend it: 30+ ready-made apps, an AI app builder, an API and an MCP connector.
- On Professional and up the portal runs on your own domain and the Assembly badge comes off.
- Clients can sign in with Google or a magic link, and answer messages straight from their email.
- It is SOC 2 Type II certified, with a HIPAA agreement (BAA) on Advanced.
You do not have to pick one
Using them together.
Both are client portals, so running the two side by side rarely makes sense. If you want a portal you can shape into your own tools, or you need a help desk and subscriptions in it, Assembly is the stronger fit. If your clients mostly need to approve work, see how their search is doing and pay invoices, BravaSpace is set up for that from the first day.
Switching from Assembly
Bring your clients across from Assembly.
It is one chat with Brava: say where you’re coming from, drop in the export, check, import. You see everything before it is added.
- 1
Tell Brava where you’re coming from.
Choose Add a client, then Switch from another tool, and pick Assembly. Brava gives you its export steps.
- 2
Drop in your export.
Your clients and contacts from Assembly, and projects or tasks if you want them: CSV, Excel or a ZIP. Brava reads only the column names and the first 20 rows to map the columns. Change any it got wrong.
- 3
Check, then import.
A short summary, like “9 clients and 11 contacts; 1 row needs a look.” Fix that row or leave it out, then press Import once. You can still undo the import afterwards.
Read the full switching guide, or talk to us if your export looks unusual.
Questions
Fair questions.
Yes. Copilot announced on 29 September 2025 that it was changing its name to Assembly. It is a different product from Microsoft Copilot, the AI assistant.
For a solo practice with few clients, Assembly’s free plan costs nothing and Starter is $29 a month billed annually. BravaSpace starts at $39 a month with 5 client spaces and 3 seats. As a team grows, compare the seats each plan includes, since Assembly’s lower plans include one internal user.
Yes. The client signs a contract in their portal, under Billing, by typing their name and ticking that they agree, and a signed copy with who signed and when is saved to their Reports. Proposals are signed the same way on their shared link. There is no identity check. Assembly includes e-signatures too.
We checked Assembly’s home, pricing and client portal pages, and its September 2025 post announcing the name change, in October 2026. Tools change, so check Assembly’s current features and pricing before you decide. See our plans and prices, how it works or every comparison.
