What it does
Connect Ahrefs to your client work.

Each keyword's position in the client's Rank Tracker project today and four weeks ago, with its volume and ranking page, and the distribution from the top 3 to past 100.

How it works
Connect once. It keeps itself current.
- 1Connect with an API key
Paste a key from Account settings, API keys. We check it with a free call that shows your plan and units left.
- 2Match each client to a project
Pick the client's Rank Tracker project; the first sync runs right away.
- 3Once a day, frugally
Rank Tracker reads are free. The domain numbers cost about 150 units per client per sync, and the tile says what it used and what is left.
- 4Clients see their own
Each client sees only their own project's numbers. A client can also connect their own Ahrefs account instead.
Before you start
What you need.
- An Ahrefs plan with API access: Lite or higher. API units come with your plan and are paid by your own Ahrefs account; BravaSpace never pays for or resells units.
- A Rank Tracker project for each client you want rankings for.
- An API key made by a workspace owner or admin. It stops working if that person leaves the workspace.
Setting it up
Where to find it.
- Log in to Ahrefs as a workspace owner or admin.
- Open Account settings, then API keys, and create a key. Give it a unit limit if you want to cap what BravaSpace can spend.
- Copy the key and paste it here. API units are paid by your own Ahrefs plan (Lite or higher).
In the app, Connect Ahrefs opens a guided setup with Brava: it asks for each thing in turn, tests the connection and tells you it is working.

What is stored
The Ahrefs key, encrypted (AES-GCM) in a table no browser can read, plus the last four characters to tell keys apart, and the synced numbers per client for 60 days.
Access
Read only: BravaSpace lists Rank Tracker projects and reads reports. It never adds keywords or changes projects in Ahrefs.
Disconnecting
Disconnect Ahrefs on its page: the key, every client match and all synced Ahrefs numbers are deleted. Nothing changes in your Ahrefs account.

Brava reads the error and suggests the fix. The common ones: Ahrefs no longer accepts the key: it was deleted, it expired, or the person who made it left your Ahrefs workspace. Make a new key in Account settings, API keys, and connect again. The rankings synced, but Ahrefs did not return the domain numbers. Check your plan includes the API (Lite or higher) and the key's unit limit is not used up. Pick the project from the list again, or copy the number from the project's address in Ahrefs.
