How it works

Connect once. It keeps itself current.

  1. 1
    Connect with an API key

One read-only key covers every company in your CallRail account.

  2. 2
Match each client to a company

Pick the client's company from the ones the key sees; it syncs right away.

  3. 3
One request a day for everyone

All clients on a key sync together about once a day: about 4 calls per account and 1 per client, roughly 420 a month for 10 clients.

Before you start

What you need.

  • A CallRail account with the clients as companies, and the API key of a user who can see them.
  • CallRail bills API use above 1,500 calls a month to the account; BravaSpace is built to stay well under it.

Setting it up

Where to find it.

  1. Log in to CallRail as a user who can see the client companies.
  2. Open the profile menu (top right), then API keys, and press Create API key.
  3. Leave Allow writes off, and copy the key.

In the app, Connect CallRail opens a guided setup with Brava: it asks for each thing in turn, tests the connection and tells you it is working.

Data and privacy

What BravaSpace keeps, and what it can touch.

What is stored

The CallRail API key, encrypted (AES-GCM) in a table no browser can read, plus its last four characters, and the synced counts per client for 60 days.

Access

Read only: counts and source names. BravaSpace never reads caller numbers, names, recordings or transcripts, and never changes anything in CallRail.

Disconnecting

Disconnect CallRail on its page: the key, every client match and all synced CallRail numbers are deleted. Delete the key in CallRail's API keys to end it there too.

Open Connect CallRail in BravaSpace and paste the API key; Brava tests the connection before saving it. Log in to CallRail as a user who can see the client companies. Brava reads the error and suggests the fix. The common ones: CallRail did not accept the key. Check it was copied whole, or create a new one under API keys. The key's user cannot see any account. Use the key of a user with access to your companies. CallRail is limiting requests for now (1,000 an hour). The next sync tries again.
