How it works
Connect once. It keeps itself current.
- 1Connect with the address and a token
Your Matomo address (https) and a token_auth.
- 2Pick each client's website
From the websites the token can see; it syncs right away.
- 3About once a day
Matches sync again on the scheduled run once the last sync is a day old, or with Sync now.
Before you start
What you need.
- Matomo Cloud, or a Matomo reachable on the public internet over https (not a private network).
- A token of a user with view access to the client sites.
Setting it up
Where to find it.
- Log in to Matomo.
- Open Administration (the gear), then Personal, then Security.
- Under Auth tokens, choose Create new token and copy it.
In the app, Connect Matomo opens a guided setup with Brava: it asks for each thing in turn, tests the connection and tells you it is working.

What is stored
The Matomo credentials, encrypted (AES-GCM) in a table no browser can read, plus the last four characters to tell keys apart, and the synced numbers per client for 60 days.
Access
Read only (the Reporting API).
Disconnecting
Disconnect Matomo on its page: the credentials, every client match and all synced Matomo numbers are deleted. Nothing changes in your Matomo account.

Open Connect Matomo in BravaSpace and paste the matomo address and API token (token_auth); Brava tests the connection before saving it. Log in to Matomo. Open Administration (the gear), then Personal, then Security. Under Auth tokens, choose Create new token and copy it. Then match each client to their Matomo website.

Brava reads the error and suggests the fix. The common ones: Use the address you open Matomo at, for example https://analytics.example.com. That Matomo is on a private network. BravaSpace can only reach a Matomo on the public internet. Matomo did not accept the token. Create a new one under Personal, Security.
