How it works
Connect once. It keeps itself current.
- 1Connect with an API key
The whole key, including the dash and the data center after it.
- 2Pick each client's audience
From the account's audiences; it syncs right away.
- 3About once a day
Matches sync again on the scheduled run once the last sync is a day old, or with Sync now.
What Brava can change
Changes in Mailchimp, only when you press Apply.
Ask Brava for a change and it reads Mailchimp live, then shows it on a card: what changes, before and after, and the limits it was checked against. Nothing is written until someone on your team presses Apply. The proposal and the change are both logged on the client's record.
- Create a draft campaignNo undo
Saves a draft email campaign to the client's matched audience, for your team to design and send in Mailchimp. It is never sent from BravaSpace.
- Subject line up to 150 characters.
- Email text up to 20,000 characters.
No undo: delete the draft in Mailchimp if you do not want it.
A proposal can be applied for 15 minutes; where there is an undo, it is offered for 7 days. No change deletes anything that was there before.
Before you start
What you need.
- A Mailchimp account with the clients' audiences in it.
- An API key from Profile, Extras, API keys.
Setting it up
Where to find it.
- Log in to Mailchimp.
- Open your profile menu, then Profile, then Extras, then API keys.
- Create a key and copy all of it, including the dash and the code after it (for example -us21).
In the app, Connect Mailchimp opens a guided setup with Brava: it asks for each thing in turn, tests the connection and tells you it is working.
Data and privacy
What BravaSpace keeps, and what it can touch.
What is stored
The Mailchimp credentials, encrypted (AES-GCM) in a table no browser can read, plus the last four characters to tell keys apart, and the synced numbers per client for 60 days.
Access
Reads audience and campaign reports; no subscriber is read or changed, and these numbers are not shared with the AI. Mailchimp keys cannot be limited, so the key can also write: Ask Brava can propose a draft campaign to the client's audience, and it is saved in Mailchimp (as a draft, never sent) only when you press Apply on its card.
Disconnecting
Disconnect Mailchimp on its page: the credentials, every client match and all synced Mailchimp numbers are deleted. Nothing changes in your Mailchimp account.
