Pinterest is coming soon. We're finishing Pinterest's approval; until then it cannot be connected.

Free for 14 days. No credit card needed.

What it does

Connect Pinterest to your client work.

  • Account numbers

Followers, impressions, engagements, saves and outbound clicks for the last 28 and 90 days, the 28 days against the 28 before (Pinterest keeps 90 days).

    The client's Visibility tab, Social
  • Top Pins

The period's best Pins with their picture, impressions and saves.

    Visibility tab and reports
  • Insights and reports

Brava's picks and the monthly report read the account's 28-day numbers next to search and ads, and only quote numbers that synced.

How it works

Connect once. It keeps itself current.

  1. 1
    Sign in with Pinterest

Sign in with the client's Pinterest business account (personal accounts cannot share analytics).

  2. 2
Match each client to an account

The account signed in is listed; pick the client's.

  3. 3
    Daily sync

Each match syncs daily and any time with Sync now. Pinterest keeps 90 days of analytics; older days come from earlier syncs.

  4. 4
    Shown to the client

Their own account's numbers only, where their portal shows Visibility.

Before you start

What you need.

  • A Pinterest business account for each client (Pinterest refuses analytics for personal accounts).
  • Beta: until Pinterest grants BravaSpace's app access, Pinterest shows Coming soon. On Pinterest's trial access a few syncs a day may wait for the next day.

Permissions the sign-in asks for

  • Account, read only (user_accounts:read): the profile, followers and account analytics
  • Pins and boards, read only (pins:read, boards:read): the Pins and how each did. Nothing is pinned or changed

Setting it up

Signing in.

  1. Sign in with the client's Pinterest business account (or ask the client to sign in while you share the screen).
  2. Pinterest shows the permissions on its consent screen; allow them.
  3. The sign-in renews itself on every sync; it stops only when the access is removed in Pinterest, and the page then asks you to reconnect.

In the app, Connect Pinterest opens a guided setup with Brava: it asks for each thing in turn, tests the connection and tells you it is working.

Data and privacy

What BravaSpace keeps, and what it can touch.

What is stored

Pinterest's access and refresh tokens, encrypted (AES-GCM) in a table no browser can read (not even your team's), the name of who signed in, and one snapshot of numbers and top Pins per client per sync (Pin titles, links and image addresses as Pinterest gives them). No passwords, no messages.

Access

Read only: BravaSpace reads the account's profile, boards, Pins and their analytics. It cannot pin, save, delete, message or change anything in Pinterest, and Ask Brava has no Pinterest changes to propose.

Disconnecting

Disconnect Pinterest on its page: the tokens are deleted (Pinterest Ads, if connected, keeps its own sign-in). Client matches and synced numbers stay, ready for a reconnect; remove a client's match to delete theirs.

Questions

Pinterest questions.

Account numbers; top Pins; insights and reports. Read only: BravaSpace reads the account's profile, boards, Pins and their analytics. It cannot pin, save, delete, message or change anything in Pinterest, and Ask Brava has no Pinterest changes to propose.

Sign in with Pinterest from the Pinterest app page in BravaSpace. Sign in with the client's Pinterest business account (or ask the client to sign in while you share the screen). Pinterest shows the permissions on its consent screen; allow them. The sign-in renews itself on every sync; it stops only when the access is removed in Pinterest, and the page then asks you to reconnect. Then match each client to their Pinterest account.

Brava reads the error and suggests the fix. The common ones: This is on BravaSpace's side, not yours: nothing to change in your Pinterest account, and reconnecting will not help. It starts working by itself once Pinterest has approved BravaSpace's app. BravaSpace's app is on Pinterest's trial access, which caps the requests a day. The sync picks up again tomorrow by itself; nothing to change. Pinterest only shares analytics of business accounts. Convert the account in Pinterest (Settings, Account management, Convert to a business account), then press Reconnect.
